Carol Lindquist Lowe

Carol and Walter were our across-the-street neighbors on Devon Drive in Homewood in the 60s and early 70s. She was a dear friend to our entire family, but especially my mother, as Carol looked to her for advice when she became a young mother. Carol and my Mother Barbara worked together for many, many years. First at the VA and then for a private research foundation. We had just moved to Birmingham from Nashville and I was age 10 when I first met Carol, and then Walter, and their extended family at what was then the Anne Jordan Farm. We spent many wonderful hours there with them, and at their home in Homewood. Carol was one of the most genuinely kind and authentic people I have known in my lifetime. She fairly glowed with it.
