Not sure what to say?

Carol and I became friends in junior high school. I learned of her passing while photographing in China and just returned home. Carol sent me this picture several years ago after finding and framing my butterfly images at a nature center. I will forever wish I saw her in recent times. Her cheerfulness belied the gravity of her condition. I mourn her passing and hope my thoughts will give some comfort to Charlie, John and Amelia.

I smile when I think about your first day at Messiah. I was sitting in front of you in a pew mid way on the left side of the church and what a joy it was to hear you sing. I thought to myself how much fun it would be to play my oboe with that voice. I have and it was.

I'm so sorry to hear of Mrs.Metz passing. She was a wonderful neighbor to our family in Oceanside.I can still see her beautiful smile and hear her friendly voice. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Mr. Metz and John.

I loved singing with Carol in the Holy Trinity choir in Rockville Centre. We sang French carols together every Christmas and our Christmas services haven't been the same since she moved upstate. I miss her beautiful voice and her smiling face - especially at Christmas. I'm sure she's singing with the angel choir now. They must be so happy to have her lovely soprano.

So very sorry to hear of Carol's passing. Carol and Charlie were neighbors on Arnold Avenue, Oceanside, New York for over thirty years. We had six children and a very disobedient dog who might have driven other people to find a new home. Carol and Charlie were the kindest, most considerate neighbors. ..We will miss Carol's friendship and enthusiasm for life and will pray for Charlie, John and Amelia.

Charlie please know we are truly sorry for your loss and know we will continue to keep you and your family in our prayers. Carol is very special, of all her accomplishments, the lives she touched and her achievements we will remember her most for her laughter, courage and her determination.

Charlie & family,
As we read Carol's bio we were impressed by all of her accomplishments & involvement in community activites. I'm sorry I never got to know her better.

I'm so sorry to hear of Mrs.Metz passing. I was a student at Island Trees Junior High in the early 70's and will always remember her smiling face. Mrs. Metz was a wonderful French teacher.

I'm so sorry that Carol is no longer with us. I sat next to Carol at Adirondack Voices for several seasons and enjoyed her warmth and friendly conversation as well as her beautiful voice. I'll miss her a great deal. We think of her often on Tuesday nights. My sincere sympathy to your family.
