Not sure what to say?

I am so sad to learn only this last week of Carol's passing. She was a wonderful, kind person who was always generous with her research. We gladly shared our independent research into Anne Estelle Rice and John Duncan Fergusson, Anne's partner in Paris before WW1. I shall treasure her memory. Thank you, Carol.

I send my condolences to those who knew and loved Carol. Among many other subjects, she did important work on the painter Anne Estelle Rice. It was in conjunction with her research on Rice, that I met her in 1997, when she came to New York to work on the Rice show at Hollis Taggart Galleries. I hope a young scholar will take up her important work.

The Wright State University Retirees Association extends our condolences to the family and friends of Carol Nathanson. We also wish to acknowledge her years of service to our university.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I remember Dr. Nathanson as my Art History teacher in my beginning years at Wright State in the early 80's. I enjoyed how she shared art history with her students. I still have my History of Art books to this day!

I am so sad to hear of Dr. Nathanson´s passing. She was one of my professors in the Art History program at WSU in the late 90s. She was so knowledgeable and a wonderful educator. I learned so much from her. She will be missed! With deepest sympathies, Amy (Heaton) Ross

I worked at The Dayton Art Institute when I met Carol. She gave a comprehensive art course to the docents who volunteered at the DAI. She was a wonderful teacher and a lovely, gracious lady. Please accept my sincere condolences and my wish for many happy memories of her.

Condolences to Carol's family. She was my advisor at Wright State 1983-1985. What a wonderful teacher and advisor - how lucky I was to land with her. I was a transfer student and finished my art history degree at Wright State. It was two of the most rewarding years I had as a college student. Carol and all the other art department professors at the time - amazing and inspiring, encouraging. She touched MANY lives I am sure!
