Carol N. Parenteau

Carol N. (Samples) Parenteau, 73, of Ashburnham, MA, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in the Health Alliance Leominster Campus, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 17, 1939, in Canton, GA to the late Roy and Viola (Huey) Samples, and was a graduate of Cherokee High School, class of 1958. Carol met and married her beloved husband, of 54 years, Gerald H. Parenteau and raised her family in Georgia, Tennessee, and Ashburnham, MA. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, crafting and cooking, but was most happy spending time with her family. Besides her husband Gerald, she leaves three sons; Randy Parenteau and his wife, Doris, of Leeds, ME, Gary Parenteau and his wife, Rhonda, of Gardner, and Mike Parenteau, of Ashburnham, and seven grandchildren; Justin, Sarah, Joshua, Brad, Tracy, Betsy, and Brooke. She was predeceased by her parents, one sister, and her great granddaughter. Relatives and friends are planning to honor and celebrate Carol's life by gathering for a memorial service in the Lamoureux Fletcher and Smith Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner, on Friday January 25, 2013 beginning at 11:30AM. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Glenallen St., Winchendon, MA. A calling hour will be in the funeral home on Friday January 25, 2013 from 10:30AM until the start of the service.
