I'm so sorry to hear about Carol. When I began teaching at Central High School many years ago, I often came to visit her to ask her advice on how to deal with students who were particularly "trying." She always reminded me that teaching is a marathon, not a sprint, and that we need to take care of ourselves before we can take care of others.
