Sam, so sorry to learn (online) of Carol Lee's passing. I have fond memories of growing up with you two on 17th Place in Birmingham. I especially recall the spend-the-night parties at Schoenfeld's backyard and the talent show performed by neighborhood kids in your backyard. Your parents would take us to the Fair Park Drive-In for the movies. Such fun! Love seeing your life's successes.

I met Carol at the Art Students League. She was a beautiful person and an amazing painter. She would walk into the room and we would immediately feel her warmth and sassiness. We miss her.

Sammie,
My heart goes out to you. Your sister, Carol Lee brought so much to my life. I was very fortunate to find her living next door when we moved into the apartment on 60th. She was sassy, tough, creative, charming and funny. I loved hearing her recounts of goings on in the building or discussing new design ideas over martinis. I was surprised to see she was just a tad older than she led me to believe. I can just see the smirk on Carol Lee's face over that one.
Love you, Carol...

Dear Sam: Carol Lee and I lived in Kew Gardens and worked at Arnold & Porter years ago. You came by my apt.one time and she showed you a small art work of mine. I am so sorry to learn that Carol Lee has died. A couple of times I have reached her in the past to see how she was. I've never forgotten her. She was very creative and even though I haven't seen her in many years, I'll miss her. Love, Ellen
