Carol A. (Tighe) Sheehan passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at home surrounded by family after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of 41 years of William "Bill" Sheehan.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late George F. and Elsie G. Tighe. She was raised in Walpole, graduated from Walpole High School with the class of 1964, and attended UMass Amherst. She had made her home in Wrentham for 41 years. Carol was a past member of the Wrentham Recreation Committee, past president of Wrentham Women's Softball, and long time member of Saint Mary's Bowling League. She also participated in many volunteer activities thoughout the town. For the past 23 years, she had been a senior teller at the Walpole Coop Bank. She loved reading, the theater, the Patriots and Red Sox, music, Ireland, St. Patrick's Day in Southie, and the magic of the ocean. She cherished every moment spend on Cape Cod, her favorite retreat.

She is also survived by a son Patrick and his wife Liz Sheehan of Needham, a daugher Colleen and her husband Matthew Tucker of Franklin. She leaves 3 grandsons, Declan James and Brendan Joseph Sheehan, and Ryan William Tucker, and a sister of Naples, Maine, Paula Raleigh and her husband Bill and their daughter Melissa.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Monday, October 31, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Sunday, October 30, 2011 from 2-5PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be private.
