Not sure what to say?

Carol was my first and best friend in junior high school and high school in Dallas, when I was new in Dallas. We shared many secrets, wrote stories, played endless games of Monopoly, swam in the local pool, and much more. She was a kind and loving friend and I was sad when our law careers took us far apart. I lost contact with her and often wondered how she was, if she was happy. I just came upon her obituary and am heart-broken. I would have liked to have talked with her one last time, but...

Dear Carol,

I am so grateful for your friendship for the last five years. I wlll never forget you or the characters you created in your marvelous creative stories that have brought pleasure to so many people.

It's nice to know that you created a safe place and a place of comfort for me, also.

I wish you well in your next adventure.

Thank you everyone for the kind words about my mom - below is the eulogy that I provided during her service:

I would like to thank everyone for coming here to day to celebrate the life of my mother, Carol Tacker. Mom touched us all in many ways, she was a great mother, daughter, sister and friend to many. Of all the things one can say about my mother, one of her greatest attributes was how caring and helpful she was to everyone.

My mother was a giving person who helped many,...

Through your writing, you gave us great creations that I shall miss for the rest of my life. I mourn for the loss of my created friends (you wrote) as I am sure your family mourns your loss. You were very a very creative author. Rest in sweet peace, Carol, with R&B

In the wonderful stories you created, in all their forms, you gave me friends that I will cherish for a lifetime.
I wish I could have truly known you.

I wish your soul happiness in its next journey and I wish peace, love and happy memories to those you love and leave behind.

My pack of huskies sends a last howl and woodle to you.

Carol was a wonderful spirit and great mentor. She will be missed by many, especially by many of her proteges as we found her an inspiration and kind-hearted spirit.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. Nick & Sue Todaro

Worked with Carol in the 80's. Have not kept in touch but think of her often. Always a happy thought. Such a Dear friend!

I was saddened to find out about Carol's passing through an e-mail to Hillcrest alums in the class of 1967. We went to the same schools for about 14 years but were seldom in classes together after Preston Hollow Elementary. My prayers and thoughts will be with the family in this time of loss.
I remember from Preston Hollow that she had a fetish for horses and liked to draw pictures of them. When I was in the school library one time looking for a book (fiction) to read, she remarked how...
