For reasons I cannot explain, I was drawn to the local section of The Sacramento Bee this morning and learned of the passing of Dr. Tomlinson-Keasey. I was a student of Dr. Tomlinson-Keasey in a developmental psychology course at UC-Riverside in 1984. I was very saddened to hear of Carol's death. I had the privilege of working with her in the early development of the UC Merced campus. She understood the needs of Central California and how a new UC campus could help address many of the region's biggest challenges.
