Carol was the high school secretary during my years at LaCenter. She brought order, calm, and cheerfulness to that office. Though she had her own kids enrolled there, I never saw her prefer them over anyone. She cared for all of us. She listened with both ears, always reassuring me that my current crisis was not the end of the world. Even after all these years, she is still a precious memory of that time in my life.
