Carol Ann Whitaker - 65 of rural Elsie, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Memorial Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Mowen Funeral Home - William A. Scarlett Memorial Chapel with Pastor Brian McKay, Victory Bikers Church, officiating. Final rest will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be prior to the service on Thursday from 12 PM to 1 PM.

Carol was born on April 5, 1951, in St. Johns, the daughter of Michael and Dorothy (Horton) Luznak. She was affiliated with the Fenmore Baptist Church and was very involved with her grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to either the Shiawassee County Humane Society or the Baby Pantry, located in the First Baptist Church, 114 West Mason Street, Owosso.

My heart will always remember the love and kindness she had for the world. She loved her families endlessly. She was like a second mother to my boys, and for that I will always trensure the memories. I've lost the closest thing to a sister I ever had and always wanted.She was my best friend.
