CAROLE C. AZEFF

Carole Cychowski Azeff, age 74, of Phoenixville, PA, formerly of Holland, PA, died Wednesday, September 16, 2020 in the arms of her beloved daughter.  She was a graduate of Saint Mary’s Academy, Class of 1963, Holy Family University, Class of 1967 (B.A.), and Villanova University, Class of 1980 (M.A.). Carole also studied at the Université Sorbonne in Paris, France in 1968, where she cultivated her love of French language and culture. She shared this passion with her students as a French teacher in Cherry Hill, NJ, and at George Washington High School in Philadelphia, PA for 17 years.

Carole was a doting mother and aunt and a generous neighbor and friend. She will be remembered with fondness for her sweet disposition by all who knew her. She loved to travel and explore new places, and she was especially fond of warm weather and trips to beach. She filled her days with community service and charity work and was interested in the news and current events. She loved a diner breakfast and long walks through the neighborhood. Later in life, she relocated to Haines City, FL, to enjoy the sunshine and daily visits to the pool. Above all, Carole was deeply devoted to her family and remained close to her daughter and sister throughout her final struggles, which she always faced with an unfailing positive attitude.

Carole is survived by her daughter, Alexis (David Mellert) Azeff; her sister, Lucille (Glen Wenzel) Cychowski; and her nephews, Blaise Wenzel and Brian Viguers.

The Visitation will take place on Monday, September 21, 2020, from 9-10:30 AM at Resurrection of Our Lord Church, 2000 Shelmire Avenue, Philadelphia, PA, with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 AM.

Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry for your loss, Alexis! I am sending you my love today and I am praying for you and your family.

Offering condolences to Carole's family on the loss of a mother, sister & aunt. Fond memories of Carole as a classmate at St. Mary's. Enjoyed my visit with Carole when I visited Haines City. Carole was always quiet & smart. Such a a geat combination.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Carole. I went to St. Mary’s Academy with Carole and have fond memories of her. I was in a group house with her in Sea Isle City in the summer of 1969. May she Rest In Peace.
