I remember spending the night at Carole's house a few times. We always had a sing-a-long with the whole family. Precious memories.

Broadwater, Carole Joyce (nee Cupp), passed away at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, MO, Thursday, January 17, 2013 at age 75.
Loving wife of Art; beloved mother of Greg (Jill) Hall of Indianapolis, IN, Jeff Hall of St. Louis, Brenda (Dave) Stewart of Ballwin and Diane Kenney of Wildwood; dear grandmother of Alex, Nikki, Mitchell, Owen and Kyle; sister of Jerry Cupp of Columbia; daughter of the late Verdun and Dallas Cupp, sister of the late Bill.
Although Carole spent her adult life in the St. Louis area, she grew up in Kirksville, MO and graduated from Kirksville High School in 1955. She was a homemaker during most of her adult life and was an avid supporter of the Sheltered Workshop for intellectually challenged adults. She spent a lot of time in fundraising efforts for the workshop and related organizations including Life Skills and Rainbow Village. She also was an active member of the PEO (Philanthropic Educational Organization).
Carole and her husband, Art, are long time members of the United Methodist Church. They have served on committees and for the last 15 years have run the MUMC Co-ed Golf League. They also have traveled to Hong Kong, China, Australia, 7 countries in Europe and most areas of the USA. Carole's unique gift was her ability to relate to different types of people both young and old. Her friends and acquaintances will remember her as being a gracious and giving person. She was the most naturally energetic, optimistic and positive person many could name. She genuinely loved people and she would light up the room. Her primary passion in life was her family but she also loved celebrating any occasion, talking into the wee hours of the morning, playing golf, singing with her family quartet, her church, her bowling league, Christmas, taking family trips and white wine. Her spark and exuberance for living will be missed.
Services: Memorial service at Manchester United Methodist Church, Manchester, MO, Tuesday 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lafayette Industries. Memorial visitation at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Monday 3-9 p.m. Friends may sign the family's on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.

Dear Family of Carole,
Just learned of her death and wish to convey my condolences. Carole was a high school classmate of mine; one with whom I shared many memories. Later on we lived in St. Charles and shared times with our young families. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

My husand and I live in Boonville and take the Columbia Daily Express. I didn't recognize the name at first an then I saw Kirksville so I immediately read the article. I could not believe it was Carole and can remember many days we talked and laughed at Kirksville as we were in the same class. Her mother used to give me perms and my mother also went to her. Carole was always laughing and full of vim and vigor. The last time I saw her was several years ago at one of our class reunions. Time...

My cousin Carol - one of the funniest, most delightful people in the whole world - whose heart was bigger than the St. Louis Arch. The shortest book in the library would be - Mean Acts by Carol . She would help anybody, anywhere. We lost someone very special.

Carole was such a huge blessing in my life...and I am sure that she has touched an abundant amount of people who shared her path in life. She was amazing and she will be greatly missed! My condolences to the family and your great loss! I only knew Carole for a brief time in my life...but that time was very special. There were 4 of us ladies who golfed together on Monday afternoons...and Carole was our happy and beautiful angel on the team. She was so full of sunshine and we all loved her...
