Carole Lee Caniford

Carole was my first horseback riding instructor in 1972-73. She taught me to ride Western and English styles. I brought my own horse to board at her stables, Spendthrift Stables on Six Forks Rd. in Raleigh, NC and she helped me to train my horse. Carole was a very kind and intelligent teacher. She gave me so much. She nurtured my love of horses and riding. She was the leader of our 4-H group and took us to horse shows as well. I remember Carol's wonderful smile. Whenever she visited her mother and I had an opportunity to see her she encouraged me to pursue my interest in horses. I hope she knows I finally got one when I turned 60. I think she would be happy about that. May she rest in peace.
