Our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the Eichenbaum family. We will keep you in our prayers.
The Sharp family

My thoughts and prayers are with Carole's family in their time of sorrow. She will be remembered as my friend and colleague. Jane

To echo the sentiments of my HP classmates Meredith and Melanie, Mrs. Eichenbaum was one of the most powerful influences on my young life and current self. I had the good fortune of having Mrs. Eichenbaum as my teacher in 4th as well as in 8th grade.

I will always remember coming into her 4th grade class to her early assignment of researching and writing a report on the ACLU. My parents (my mother was and is a teacher herself) were amazed that a 4th grade teacher would demand so...

Mrs. Eichenbaum, you will truly be missed. What an amazing teacher you were! You instilled in me a passion for learning and for that, and for being so generous and loving to your students, I'll always remember you. I will always remember our one on one conversations about anything and everything. And though I haven't seen you in so long, I often think of them. May you always rest in peace, Mrs. Eichenbaum. God Bless.

My condolences to the family. My thoughts are with you.

Thank you for giving me the love of reading, for inspiring me to learn, and for being so passionate about teaching. You were a blessing. Rest in peace.

Please accept our deepest condolences on the passing of Carol. The memories of wonderful summers will last forever. Serena Kaplan, daughters Beth and Frances and Marlene Verderosa, Serena's sister who knew Carol from Greentree in East Brunswick NJ.

Although I hadn't seen her for years, Mrs. Eichenbaum was not just one of my favorite teachers, she was one of the lasting formative influences on my life. I don't know if I ever would have become a professional editor if it weren't for her.

I know it is no consolation for her loss, but she will not be forgotten by our generation, and her work will ripple widely out into the world through ours.

This is what I wrote on Facebook when I shared the obituary:
