Carole EISENMENGER

It's been many years since I saw Carole, but I remember her vividly from the time when we both worked at the "visible files" at the Yale Social Science Library. She was so cheerful and patient with other staff, and helped me, when I first arrived, to learn the ropes. She did much to make it a happy place to work. My deepest condolences to her family for having lost her far too soon.

Most of my memories of Carole are from the New Haven years, when we worked together at Yale and when the kids were very young. Carole was smart, loyal,funny, unpretentious, generous, and warm. I last spoke to her about a year and half ago and we went over some of the past: visiting the scout camp, the cottage, seeing the family in Princeton at a dog show, meeting for dinner in New Haven, etc. I can still hear her voice.
