Read MoreI remember visiting Joe and Carole's farm and having the best time. Carole was my step aunt and always loving and gracious to me. I'm sorry we lived so far from each other and didn't get to see each other more often. My sympathies to Joe and Cathy, and the rest of the family for their loss.

I am saddened to learn of Carole's passing, and I am sending condolences, peace and love to Cathy, Carole's husband, Joe, and extended family. I have fond memories of being at the Fitzgerald home, as Cathy and I would sometimes stay at each other's houses during our high school years. Oh, the fun we had!! Carole was always so warm and welcoming. I'm comforted to learn that Cathy was able to be there for her mother. You are a wonderful daughter.
