CAROLINE HUBER

Caroline treated me like family. I met her and Mike when I was a teenager working for my father. It was always a priority of mine to answer and repair anything she ever needed when she called. I have to admit, she was my favorite customer. I will miss her tremendously, but whenever I see Ellie, I’ll see Caroline, too. My sincerest condolences to the wonderful Huber family.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. Please except my condolences for your loss.

Carol was the only lady I knew who was so down to earth that she wanted everyone, even her kids, to call her Carol. I was lucky enough to spend a summer with Carol and the kids at their cabin in Maine. She read Rachel Carson's SIlent Spring to us and taught us the words to Waltzing Matilda. She was loved by all who knew her.

To all of Carol's family we send our sympathy and love, feeling so lucky to have shared with her and Mike a number of inspiring adventures, many conversations about the beauties of nature, about house building and how to live a good life - all of which she pursued with such imagination, humor and good sense.

I met Carol through Dennice and Ray Carey. She was a lovely woman who was caring, giving, supportive and kind. Without fail, unless she was traveling, but even then she would check in with her lifelong friends weekly to make sure they were okay. I was so impressive with her intelligence, her love for those less fortunate, the theater, her love for birds and her love of teaching. She was a very special woman and she will be greatly missed.

I am writing this for all Harper’s. We remember Carol as one of our Aunt Carolyn’s best friends. She was present at most family gatherings held at “The big house”. She and Mike were always so interested and kind to us. We are so sad to see this generation disappear from the world as we know it, but trust that they are all together having one big party... a grand generation!
