My condolences to the family & friends. I remember nice conversations over the years at family gatherings with her nieces and nephew as my daughter is close friends with Anne.

Carol and my mom were good friends when I was growing up in Portland. I remember having wonderful conversations with her as a teenager. Carol was always understanding and there was a quiet strength and wisdom to her. Carol also had the best sense of humor. I know she will be missed greatly but am happy to have known her. Carol's sense of adventure and zest for life will continue on with her grandchildren. My thoughts go out to Vance, her steadfast partner.

Carol was a very gracious and lovely lady. It was always a joy to visit her and Vance. Our condolences to family and friends.

So sorry to hear about Carol. She was my Dad´s cousin, and they loved to get together and tell stories. Carol and Vance were so kind and friendly to me when I started college in Oregon. She was such an interesting person and I really enjoyed knowing her. Tracy Meyer

I have such fond memories of Carol. She was always out walking and engaging in neighborly conversations. The stories of her worldwide travels were impressive. We will miss her.

Vance and Family: So sorry to hear the passing of Caroline, As you know we first met you both when we brought you to stay at our house in Gander Nl during the 911 tragedy events with all the planes landing in Gander. We started of as strangers but ended up as friends. Caroline always kept in contact with us and we would always look forward to her messages especially on the anniversary of 911 every year.
