Caroline Wiren, who was married to Tampa Bay Storm player Nyle Wiren, died after giving birth to a healthy baby boy on Tuesday. She was 34. Wiren was in her fourth season as the head coach of the University of South Florida dance team, the SunDolls.

Dear Caroline, I never had the pleasure of meeting you. My husband and I used to live in Tampa and, you and I were pregnant at the same time. I will never forget that day when my husband called me to share the sad news of your premature passing. The mixed emotions I felt must have paled in comparison to to those of your loved ones. You pop into my head at the strangest moments. I can't always place what it is that is reminding me of you but I can feel your presence. I think of you each time my son has a birthday - just 4 months before Clay's. I've no doubt that they would make great friends. Although I've not met him I think of you both often and am reminded to cherish every moment of this life.
