Carolyn Helen Brookhart

Carolyn was my oldest and only sister who I admired all my life. I lived with Carolyn and John in Arizona while going to ASU. Later, we were close raising our kids even though they lived in Longview and Bill and I lived in Arizona, getting together throughout the years. They even moved to Arizona and lived down the street from us for about 5 years and what wonderful times we had together!! Carolyn was an intelligent,talented artist, creating unique intaglio prints. Carolyn was a lovely person. I had the pleasure of working with her (and her husband, John) at Lower Columbia College. I helped her manage some humanities grants she had secured for the College's art gallery. I am glad that she and John are united again.

So sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing. I had her for a couple of Art classes at LCC back in the day, and it was a joy to take her classes. I recall her being one of the most happy, upbeat, and vibrant college teachers I ever knew. Sending deepest sympathy and prayers to her family.
