Not sure what to say?

I recently had the pleasure of spending an evening with Carolyn's long- time and dearest friend, Linda. We reminisced a great deal about Carolyn, which was fun and reminded us what a very special person she was. And it was so good to really talk to Linda after not doing so for 45 years with the exception of hellos at two funerals (we worked together for several years in the 70s'). With love and hope, Grace

Carolyn Clapp was a close friend and very simply one of the most amazing people l have ever been blessed to know. She was talented beyond description and always shared her gift of music freely and without hesitation. She was never motivated by ego, despite her talent as both a performer and an accompanist. She knew who she was and never felt the need to compete. Carolyn touched many lives and those lives were fuller and enriched immeasurably by having known her.

I met Carolyn when I joined the choir at Trinity United Methodist Church in Portland. She was the first person to speak to me. Carolyn was one of the most beautiful souls I ever encountered. She was kind and humble and shared her musical talent without hesitation whenever she was asked. She had a quiet beauty about her and despite her physical challenges later in life, she accepted whatever came down the pike without complaining. Our loss is Heaven's gain.

Those were wonderful days, sitting next to Carrie while sitting even closer to her boss, Ed Elliott, in his office. He was also a very kind and honorable person. I know she...
