Carolyn was an avid and knowledgeable fan of Classic Movies. One of her favorite movie stars was the fabulous Kay Francis. Carolyn sent me several copies of Kay Francis movies I wanted to see. Carolyn also had in her collection every movie directed by Mitchell Leisen, one of her favorite film directors. I hadn't communicated with Carolyn...

I was happy and honored to have known Carolyn these past 20 years or so on her visits to Ventura and Santa Barbara and mine to Eureka. No visit to Eureka was complete without some lunches and dinners with Carolyn. Her smile and laughter were hallmarks. She indeed was what she named her beloved dog, Happy. She was a real trooper to the very end. Happy Trails my Friend.

Carolyn's 72nd BirthdayDinner at Sea Grill

A dear sweet friend that will be missed greatly. Carolyn had a heart of gold and a will to live life the best no matter what was put in her way. In her years on this earth she has shown kindness and goodwill to all and brought joy and laughter to many. One does not realize what one has until someone is taken from them. Carolyn would want all her friends to continue life with a smile and know that she is with each of us each time she is thought of.
