Carolyn Heacock Obituary

Carolyn Ann Heacock, 77, of Conroe, Texas, formally from Northport, Alabama passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025. Born on January 28, 1948, in Alabama, Carolyn lived a life full of love, family, and quiet strength.

A proud graduate of Holt High School, Class of 1966, Carolyn carried her Southern warmth and kindness throughout her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose compassion touched everyone who knew her.

Carolyn was a retired nurse with a passion for helping people. In her last years she was a member of the Carriage Inn Retirement community in Conroe, Tx., where she enjoyed choir singing and the many wonderful friends that she made. She loved giving back with many hours of volunteer work in the community. She also loved her Alabama Crimson Tide, and was often heard yelling "Roll Tide"!

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Willie Frances and James William Hughes, her husband, Rex Heacock, and sisters Diane Hughes and Barbara McDavid.

She is survived by her loving daughter Connie Marie Kline (Paul), Mary Rhinehart (Doug); brothers David Hughes (Dale) and James Hughes (Suzette); her cherished grandchildren Brandon Lee Mitchell (Sydney) and Joseph Blake Mitchell (Hannah); and her adored great-grandchildren Mikaela Butler, Brandon Lee Mitchell Jr., Riyah Jo Mitchell, and Raelyn Blake Mitchell, who brought her endless joy.

Carolyn will be remembered for her generous heart, her devotion to family, and her ability to make those around her feel deeply loved. Her laughter and wisdom will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who were blessed to share in her life.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with the funeral service starting at 11:00 am at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas. The graveside service will immediately follow in Garden Park Cemetery.
