Holzman, Carolyn L. 55 Oct. 08, 1955 Aug. 05, 2011 All love her who knew her well, and there are many of us. She lived to share her vision and ours, to think and make us think, to laugh and make us laugh. Our grief, now, overwhelms us. The world will be a darker place without her if we fail to...

Not sure what to say?

Still~you are with me~every hill I take~i feel YOU~beside me~ how you loved the hills, my friend~i wil never forget you, NEVER~ onward into the lap of Adonai.

I am shocked to learn about Carolyn's death. I met Carolyn about 15 years ago when she was studying Italian. She was in my class and I remember her fondly. Everytime we met at PSU she had a kind word and a smile. She was indeed a very kindred spirit. I am sad to know she is no longer with us. May she rests in peace. Ciao, Carolyn.

more authentic a being one could ne'er know ~ everything ~ every breath ~ forever ~ in gratitude sweet friend ~

Carolyn was my colleague many years ago when we worked together on a Metro Dancers production. I am sorry I could not attend her memorial service, but wanted to express my condolences to her loved ones. As deeply as you will miss her presence is how deeply the dance community will miss her artistry and she will not be forgotten.

Carolyn was a genius artist, genuine and generous, very rare. Watching her perform on the trapeze is my early memory, a flying Charlie Chaplin! Her directing, so detailed, refined, solid. Her body-mind was an encyclopedia of life's quirky dramas, soulful and very very witty. My deepest sympathies to her circles of friends and family.

This is an unbelievable loss. Had it been possible, I would have carried Carolyn around with me like a backpack - she held everything inside her that is needed from a human being. Carolyn would be the first to say that good students perpetuate a good teacher's magic - and she believed that all students are good. No student who knew Carolyn will fail to keep her genius alive.

My condolences! Carolyn and I worked together many years ago. She was a real friend! The Earth will miss her!

Dear Liz ~

How precious, the gift of friendship with Carolyn. Words can’t describe your sweet spirit, your infectious smile and laughter, your calming voice, or gift for gently teaching and imparting knowledge. All these you shared so easily and freely.
I will sorely miss our many days of chatting “over the fence” sharing gardening knowledge and food treasures, stories of our lives and the strength and wisdom that your friendship brought.
Thank you for the gift of you.
Meet you at the...
