Not sure what to say?

Dear Fonda & Katelyn,
We just found out about (Grandma) at the football game friday night . We were so very deeply saddend by the news. You two are in our thoughts and prayer. If there is ever anything you need you know where we are.. Love Patty & Sarah Fuller

Although I did not know Boolie directly, I was touched by her contributions to the Lynchburg/Campbell County Community. I was a cheerleader for the Timberlake Lions for 9 years and also coached there for 10. I wonder if Boolie knew when she established the organization that more than 40 years later it would still be thriving in the community. My warmest regards and deepest sympathy to the family.

Dear Biddy,

My family and I were very saddened to hear of your mother's passing. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Sid and Family.
You have our deepest sympathy. I taught at LRES from 1979 until 1985.
Boolie was more than a secretary. She was LRES. She will be deeply missed but she lives on in all our memories. Boolie and I would talk about many things, especially my daughter Sheryl and her grandson Sid, who where in the same class at Heritage Elementary. I still have the handmade basket that she made for me when we moved from Lynchbug.
God bless you during this time of sorrow

I met Boolie when I taught for many years at Leesville Rd. The school would not have succeeded without her. She was a true friend and confidante. I loved talking about football games with her. She loved her "Bees" and I, my VES "Bishops". I was so saddened to hear of her death.

Dear Biddy, we were so saddened to learn of your mother's death. I clearly remember her being in the forefront of the first "organized" youth football and baseball games in the area -- with many of the Timberlake team home games being played in the area near the Arthur's horse barn. Later on, once we had become neighbors, there was a time when I had taken the curve a bit too wide and knocked loose the Martin mailbox from its stand; she took this all in stride (even when my Dad had not). ...

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May all the good memories bring you comfort.

When I was student teaching at Leesville Road Elem. 22 years ago, Boolie Martin was my daily saving grace! From the tiniest detail to the biggest issue, she always had time for a young, green student teacher who just wanted to teach. Thank you, Boolie, for teaching me more in five months than I learned in 4 years of college! :) You will be missed by many. My prayers go out to all of her family. God Bless.

Dear Katelyn and Fonda, we are so sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We are at the condo and just read the paper via internet. We will be back in Lynchburg soon. Sorry we weren't there to visit with you and the family.
