Carolyn Mauchley

I remember Carolyn well. The mother of my dear friend Barry Day. She was engaging in conversation and challenged me to set high expectations of myself. We certainly challenged her with our teenage growing pains and antics. In the face of it, she was always calm and kind. My condolences to Dean, Barry, Gretchen and to all of her family and friends.

Mrs. Mauchley was my high school counselor at Lincoln High in Portland. I appreciated her calm advice and willingness to listen in a complex time of raging hormones and social upheaval. Her kind smile as a young woman in her obituary photo was easily recognizable to me these many years later. Thank you Mrs Mauchley for being apart of my life.

Mrs Mauchley was my High School Councilor at Lincoln High School 1976-1979. Guided me through my high school years and is responsible for how I succeeded in life. Thank you for all you did. Thoughts and prayers to your family.
