Carolyn Sue Blackwell McIlwain

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I had the incredible blessing of getting to know Carolyn and working with her as a Social Worker. Though we never worked at the same place, we spoke often and met to discuss our patients. I only hope and pray that one day I can at least half the Social Worker that she was. She will be missed by all who came in contact with her.

I never met Carolyn personally, but I work with an agency that required her contact from time-to-time when working with her patients. I was saddened when I read of her death, but felt compelled to let the family know that she was one of the most compassionate / caring social workers I have worked with during the 20 plus years I have worked in the rehab business. She made a difference in the lives of those she worked with and she will be missed.

I prayed each day that God would take you into his arms and bathe you in his warmth and love. He now has you at his side and you are at peace. I am very grateful for that knowledge and comfort. I will miss you terribly. Your passing has been difficult for your family and friends who love you. But, not to worry, you have touched many lives before you left us and your memory will continue to live on with those who love you.
