Dr Muir was one of the best teachers I have ever had. Her Introduction to Western Art class was invaluable to students across all disciplines. It taught us how to appreciate art. The clarity of her lectures, her knowledge and humour, and the passion she so clearly possessed for the subject moved and impacted every student. Carolyn was a dear friend of mine in high school and after, and I was fond of her whole family. She was such an intelligent, sensitive, kind person. I wish I had seen more of her in recent years. I am so sad to know that she is gone. My deepest sympathies to Jeff, her brothers, and her sons.
