Sanders Funeral Service - Kingfisher Obituary

Carolyn Sue Mulherin, 61, Kingfisher, passed away Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021.

Services are 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at Kingfisher Church of the Nazarene and officiated by Dennis Baker. Burial will follow at Kingfisher Cemetery. Jasper Merritt, Chris McAlvain, Chad Smith, Robby Pool, Brian Sigl and Jeremy Lack will serve as pallbearers. Services are under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service, Kingfisher.

Carolyn was born May 5, 1960, in Kingfisher to Wilburn Eugene and Opal Thiems Leech.
She graduated from Kingfisher High School on May 18, 1978. She married the love of her life - Roland Mulherin the very next day on May 19. She started her forever life with Roland at the young age of 18 and together they raised two beautiful children.

Carolyn was the best wife, Mom and Mimi anyone could ask for. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and leaned on Him her whole life.

Her most favorite time spent was with family. She was raised with so much love from her cherished mom and dad and from an early age she learned the true value of family. She has passed this value onto her kids and grandkids. Carolyn wholeheartedly loved her family and has always kept such a tight-knit relationship with her three loving sisters. As much as she loved all her sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews…her world was her precious husband and two kids, Lincoln and Lindsay.
With them, she was also blessed and loved with all her heart her grandkids. How much she loved the family she and her husband had made.

Some of her passions were bird watching, flowers and loving on animals.
She loved Pomeranians and had five in her lifetime. Boomer and Bandit were her best buddies.
But her biggest passion was cooking. She loved to cook for everyone and had an extreme talent for it.

She absolutely loved to travel with her best friend and husband of 43 years.
They traveled all over the world to places like Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Rome, Mexico and everywhere in between. Their favorite pastime was camping. Thousands of miles were covered.
She loved OU football. She was known for always having her beautiful crimson nails painted.
Carolyn began as a deputy in the Kingfisher County Assessor's Office in 1991 and became the county assessor in 2015.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Derrick Sigl.

Survivors include her husband of the home; son Lincoln Mulherin and wife Whitney and daughter Lindsay Lack and husband Jason, all of Kingfisher; sisters Linda Westfahl and husband Nick, Diana Helt and husband Lary and Janice Russell and husband Dick, all of Kingfisher; and eight grandchildren, Macey, Brett, Sofia, Brody, William, Emilia, Braydn and Camdyn.

Memorials can be sent to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Breast Cancer 825 NE 13th St. Oklahoma City, OK 73104, or OU Health Harold Hamm Diabetes Center 1000 N. Lincoln Blvd. Oklahoma City, OK 73104.

Mimi will be missed immensely by all of her family, friends and anyone who has had the privilege to know her.

We love you forever and always Mimi.

Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear about Carolyn’s passing. Our prayers are with all of you at this time. She was a great person. Carolyn had been a friend for years, since we both were deputies in our respective County Assessor’s offices. I retired as Woods Co Assessor the same time Eloise retired at the end of 2014.

My heart aches for your family. I haven't seen Carolyn much in the last 4 years but I have always thought of her as
a dear friend & a great co-worker! Roland, you and Carolyn have raised a beautiful family. Praying for all of you.

Prayers and our thoughts to Carolyn's family.
