Not sure what to say?

It's hard to believe it's been a year since Carolyn's passing. I know how difficult this has been for Peter but his many friends have been there for him. God Bless Carolyn and her family. Barbara King

To Steve and the entire Rummel family our sincere condolences to all of you. A kind heard stopped beating a gentle soul rose to heaven. Rest In Peace Mrs Rummel.

Dr. Rummel along with Peg Huryk escorted me and my 4 best friends to Ireland at the end of our first year of nursing school at SHU. It was a trip of a lifetime which we all still think of often. I will always remember Dr. Rummel´s kind and soft spoken voice as she guided us through Ireland and into our early journey of nursing. Rest in peace Dr. Rummel, thank you for your wisdom.

Carolyn adopted our Magnificat Home like we were her own blood: kind, encouraging, generous, loyal! A magnificent lady!

Carolyn Rummel was one of the first persons I met at Seton Hall University College of Nursing. In 1972, she interviewed me for a faculty position there. Our offices were next to each other when we moved to the new College of Nursing building in 1973. I remember visiting Carolyn and her new baby, Michael, in an apartment in Millburn before they bought their home in Short Hills. We taught together in the same courses for many years. Then She became a Department Chair. Carolyn was a very...

Carolyn was one of Seton Hall´s dearest faculty members! I am so sad to hear of her passing. I feel so privileged to have been one of her students. She was my advisor for many years in my post graduate studies. She had an ability to make me feel like I was the most important person in the world when she was advising me. I will never forget her. A few years ago I ran into her at Macys Short Hills Mall and we quickly caught up on life, again so interested in what direction my life was moving....

I have so many wonderful memories of fun times with Peter and Carolyn and shared many delicidus meals at their homes. We would often ski together and also sit on the beach. She had a very strong faith, a beautiful smile and was someone you loved to be with. My deepest sympathy to Peter and the family. Barbara King

Carolyn, you and I have been friends since you came to Seton Hall in 1971, and every minute with you was a gift. Rest in peace and know your friends will be praying for you and grieving their loss. But you are never gone, you will always be with us. With time, as our grief is resolved, we will pray to you, not for you.
