Not sure what to say?

I loved this woman. So smart, compassionate and humble. She cared about her patients, cared about her specialty in CF and left a mark on the world. Her generosity was evident in the fund raisers she sponsored. She always made time for family and friends and made everyone feel special.

Miss you Carolyn, think of you often.

We first met Dr. Denning in 1974 when our son, Michael, was being diagnosed with CF. She was so caring and responsive to our deep concern. We didn't know too much about CF at the time. Two years later another son, Brian, was diagnosed with CF. Needless to say we spent a lot of time with Dr. Denning. I looked forward to our visits as much as the boys did. She became a close friend while remaining a devoted Dr. We have kept in touch through the years and she has been instrumental in...

Dr. Denning was my doctor from 1983 until she left St. Vincent's in the early 90s. I have so many good memories of her. When I was a small child, I used to climb into her lap and sit there for the whole visit while she talked with my parents. I also remember how special it made me feel that she had my baby and childhood pictures (along with the other patients) on display on a big wall in the office. It was things like this that set her apart from other doctors and let you know how much she...

Dr Denning was an icon in the world of CF. She embodied humanity, intelligence, scientific research and somehow combined this with family. She taught me about the balance of career and family. I am so impressed by her life , Truly impressive...but the beautiful family around her and her patients, they are her true legacy. I am very thankful to have had her influence in my life. She will always be in my Heart and greatly missed by so many. She is an amazing woman in medicine! Thank you to her...

My little brother Jimmy Horan passed away on January 23rd, 1983. Because of Dr Denning he lived as long as he did. AND
he really lived. He was happy as a boy and as a young man.
Dr Denning was a legend in our family.

I'm sorry for your loss. May you be comforted by the Scriptures at Jeremiah 29 : 11,12.

She left some terrific kids and grand kids to continue her love in this world

Dr Denning was one of the greats in the early days of cystic fibrosis and one of the few remaining docs who knew Paul di'Sant Agnese. I did not know her personally but enough to know she was well beloved by her patients and families.
