Carolyn had a gift for friendship. She found ways to get people together - old friends and new. I loved the many big, beautiful hats in her collection!

Carolyn was a mentor and a model of intelligence, strength, compassion and self-confidence. I was hired by Carolyn to serve in the Child Development Specialist Program in PPS and spent my career in education in part due to her support, guidance and on-going encouragement. Carolyn walked into my life two years ago. We learned to play Mahjong together. I immediately connected with her and loved our friendship. One of my greatest regrets is that I did not meet her earlier in life to enjoy her longer! Truly, an amazing human being.
