Carolyn Williams, 78, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022, at Deaconess Henderson Hospital.
Many Henderson residents will remember Carolyn as the “lady at the city building” where she worked for many years; first, as the secretary for the city manager and later as the city clerk. Carolyn always offered a warm greeting and a smile as she served the city. While she enjoyed her job, Carolyn’s true passion was her family and friends. She enjoyed playing golf and spending time with her late husband, Arnold Williams. You could often find them having breakfast at Hardees before work or having lunch together in Henderson. Carolyn adored her children and grandchildren and showered them with unconditional love and affection. She was at her happiest when she was spending time with them. Her family and friends will greatly miss her sense of humor and pleasant demeanor.
Survivors include two children, Kelly Fulkerson and her husband, Sonny, of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Chris Parks of Port Orange, Florida; four stepdaughters, Lorna Littrell and her husband, Darrell, Denise Williams and her husband, John Cavanah, Devon Watkins and her husband, Steve, and Pat Jackson and her husband, Troy, all of Henderson; one sister, Nina Poynter Head and her husband, Joe, of Lexington, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hall and her husband, Zachary, and Shelby Fulkerson, both of Raleigh, North Carolina, Grace Parks of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Avery Parks of Evansville, Indiana; six stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; two stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and two nephews.
