Not sure what to say?

I just found out about Mrs Wilson today on facebook. Mrs Wilson was one of my favorite teachers at Wm J Christian school. Whenever I hear "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand) I think of her because she taught it to us for our 8th grade graduation. To Octavia-I still remembered your name after all of these years because your Mother always spoke about you in class-she loved you dearly. Peace and blessings to the entire family-Sandy Wright-Leonard

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOMMA!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love you now and always!

Love,
Your Baby Girl

Octavia, I was looking for your mom on FB and was sadden to hear of her passing. I am a former student of your mother. She taught me in sixth grade at Christian Elementary. She was my favorite elementary school teacher. She taught us not only Geography but life in general. She did this at her best by exemplifying it through the life she lived. They don't make teachers like your mom anymore. She was Ms. Beard when I met her, then she became Mrs. Wilson. I know you are strong even though I've...

Hi Mommy! Words cannot express how I feel right now. I need my best friend. Sometimes it feels as though I am having an "out of body" experience when I think of you being gone...SO UNREAL!!! I know that God knows what's best for me, and I don't doubt Him, but I WILL NEVER HAVE ANOTHER MOTHER, and I don' t know how I will ever make it without YOU! Who else will give me the advice that only YOU could give me? Who else will hold me and tell me that "this too shall pass"? Who else can make me...

She taught me how to Cha Cha Cha. I am a pro at it to this day. May she RIP.

I have such fond thoughts of Lady Carolyn from our adolescent days at Lincoln and Parker High School; special music programs at Sixteenth Street Baptist Church; dinner with her family on Sunday afternoons; shared thoughts on hopes and aspirations for an uncharted future in a time of social turmoil in Birmingham; and, of course, sharing/learning the latest dance steps to the popular tunes of the time. What joys were shared with you, your brothers and sisters, your parents and our mutual...

Carolyn: Though I know you are now resting in peace, it still seems so unreal. I have been reflecting a lot these days, remembering how you took me here and there as a teen, how you guided me as I was navigating through this world, how you advised me with your wisdom and care, and how you protected me in many ways. Your "stories" are still quite humorous, even when told over and over...never dull! You are appreciated. I am so thankful I was able to say "hello" and "good-bye" on 9/19/12,...

Your memory and legacy will live on in the knowledge and education you shared among me and many other generations. God has called his angel home but not before she shared the gifts He blessed her with. You will forever live on.
