Not sure what to say?

Such a coincidence. 2 weeks ago I purchased a used book from the Huntsville S.E. Branch library on Bailey Cove, entitled "Watercolor School. By Hazel Harrington. Stuck on the inside cover was a Veteran´s return address lable with Carolyn´s name and green Mountain Road address. My name is Michael Wright!

A lovely, talented lady I was pleased to meet at an art show in Huntsville many years ago. She was extremely talented and I cherish her paintings I own.

I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Her sweet little bird prints bring me joy every day. I enjoyed her personal notes and her kindness made me feel as though she were a friend. My mother passed in 2020 and taking care of her was all consuming so I haven't visited your sight for a long time. This such a shock to me. She was such a talented sweet lady.

Carolyn and AJ were very active in the Alabama Archaeological Society. It was great to know them in the 60s and 70s. So sorry for your loss.

It was a true joy knowing Mrs. Wright and all of your family as a child in Huntsville. She and our mother, Earline Nance, were very close. When each of us graduated from college we received one of Mrs. Wright's paintings. Mine still hangs in our home. It is a beautiful piece and it reminds me of good times with friends and loving relationships. Your mother was a very dear lady.

The Nance Sisters would like to extend caring thoughts to Jay, Richard and their families. We have great memories of growing up on Lakeview Drive, with the Wright, the Haddox, the Thomas, the Eckerd & other families in the neighborhood. Evening cookouts in the backyard. Playing Hide & Seek until dark with the neighborhood kids. Bicycling up steep Lakeview Drive. Barbie doll clothes Mrs. Wright handknit for the Nance girls. Our mothers were close friends, and I remember listening to them...

Carolyn was a treasured friend of mine and had such a wonderful gift for sharing her warm smile and love. I have so many beautiful memories of our special times together painting, traveling and taking workshops with internationally know artists. One of my favorite memories was a call from her early one morning. She had not learned to drive at that time. I am certain she was very tired of packing and maneuvering all of our art work into my little station wagon and fastening our exhibiting...

Carolyn was a lovely person and a very talented artist! I have several of her paintings that bring me great joy. Enjoyed her insight.
