Carrie Backus

I was a classmate of Carrie at U of L. We were in woodwind quintet together. She transferred after first year. 30 plus years later I thought about her and a Google search led me to this obituary. This is very sad. Carrie was a kind, thoughtful teenager when I knew her. She was a natural musician full of potential. I´m not surprised that she had a successful career as a music educator. Although we´ve been separated by decades and thousands of miles, the impression she left on me is indelible....
