My condolences to the family. Dr. Carrie was my wonderful advisor while I was in the doctoral program at Atlanta University back in the 1970s. What a warm, generous and incredibly helpful support she was! I never would have completed my degree without her. Although we lost touch several years ago, I will always remember her with love and joy.

Dr. Dawson was a wonderfully brilliant and exciting woman that leaves an incredibly large "footprint" wherever she went and whoever she touched - whether it was in Gary, Indiana (prior to her retirement) or here in the Atlanta area.
