Carrie Mae Pratt

Carrie Mae Pratt "Aunt Carrie" was born July 9, 1921 in White Hall, Texas to the parentage of Paul and Verdia Mae Warren. She has one sister, Audrey Jean Dabbs and two brothers both deceased, Clarence Warren and Willie James Warren.

She was educated in the Ferris ISD school system and later she was a domestic worker in private homes and businesses which lead her into entrepreneurship.

She married Randle Pratt in Ferris, Texas in 1938 and joyously celebrated this union for 66 years until his death in 2005.

She retired after working over 50 years, where she then continued her love for cooking, reading and playing games. She professed her Faith in Christ at an early age, and was a Faithful member of The Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church and the mother's board until her health declined.

Angels waiting to welcome her home are her parents, her husband and two brothers.

The legacy to mourn her passing are one sister, Audrey Jean Dabbs (Charles); Four nieces, Gloria Johnson (James), Sandra Warren, Wanda Tolbert (Mickey) and Beverly Holmes. Great niece, Tracie Mwamba (Patrick); Three nephews, Russell Dabbs (Juanita), Gerald lloyd, Justin Johnson. Three great, great nieces, Nicole Mwamba, Bailey Lloyd and Madison Lloyd and host of cousins, family and friends.
