Not sure what to say?

We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to his wife, Carol and the entire Hartlove family. Carroll always brought a smile and good cheers to all of our gatherings. He was a very unusual person who have a wonderful personality. He will be missed by many but without a doubt by our family.

We were so sorry to hear the news about Carroll when we returned from out of town.
Never shall we forget his great wit, humor - and always looking on the bright side of everything.
Everyone appreciates all that he did for the AAI Retirement Gang.
Our fond memories of Carroll go way back to the Summer of 1959 and a fun-filled cruise up the Severn River.
Our sincere sympathy from our family to the Hartlove family.

A story I want to add to the many tributes to Carroll involves working together for over 26 years at AAI Corporation. Carroll was a good listener, and being brother-in-laws, we had many discussions regarding the frustrations that always are associated with raising children. No matter how bad the problem of the day might seem at the time, he would finally conclude, "If that's as bad as it gets, you know we are lucky". He always kept things in their proper prospective and that speaks volumes...

Our entire family and the AAI family will miss Uncle Carroll. He's had such a positive impact on our lives. Special memories include the many vacations at the beach, our trip to Disney, his MC'ing various AAI and family celebrations, and the bright light of his video camera when we were young. I'll miss my Favorite Uncle, especially his humor.

We pray that the rich legacy of love and service by Carroll to his family and lifelong friends will continue in our memory long after his departure from us. Carroll was a great American, an ornament to his country and greatly loved by all who knew him.

We have been honored and blessed to
have known Carroll for many years
(almost 50 in Roger's case). He was
a true, caring, witty, knowledgeable
and industrious individual who
brightened the lives of all who
knew him. Our deepest sympathies go
out to the Hartlove family.
