Not sure what to say?

Linda (daughter) and Sue, I was sorry to hear of the death of your Dad. This is a blast from the past. We went to Sharon School together. I have forwarded the obituary to my twin brother Jon and to my brother Stewart. I hope you are well.

Life on Homestead Village was unique, and Whitey's life there added to its richness. My Dad, Dwight Mauney, played baseball with Whitey on several Leaksville teams, and thought the sun rose and set on him. Several Years ago a friend of Whitey's put him in touch with me about information on the Lockman family. It was a thrill for me to talk about the Lockman family, verify our kinship and talk about Baseball. He seemed to be a down to earth sort of person, and the comments that I have read in the past few days confirm that. Baseball needs more people like him. My condolences to the family

Skipper- You have always meant so much to me since I was a young boy growiung up in Scottsdale. We will miss your grace, class and wonderful smile. May your spirit leave forever.

I met Mr. Lockman last month and it was a great experience meeting a legend of the game and a nice man. My thoughts and prayers go out to Linda and the entire family.

I grew up in New York and was a Giant fan. Whitey Lockman was one of my favorite players quiet, unassuming, professional and consistent. My condolences to his family on their loss.

What a class act, a true gentleman, our thoughts and prayers are with your family, we will miss you "Whitey"

Northing but Home runs for you !!! God Bless your Memory
