Dear Grandma (Nan) and Grandpa (Pop), I miss you more than words can say. Some days, I still reach for your voices in my mind, remembering how safe and loved I felt when you were here. You gave me a kind of love that was soft and steady, a love that never wavered, even when life got hard. I wish you could see me now. My great-grandfather (Pop) was my best friend as a little kid. Every day, I would wake up excited to see him and tell him all about what I wanted to do. I got to play video games with him, and almost every morning, I would follow along with his routine of shaving-or "pretend" shaving, in my case. I also lifted my little weights with him, walked on the treadmill beside him, helped pick up leaves, and was pushed on the swing set in the backyard. I worked with Carroll from 1982 until he retired and always enjoyed his pleasant personality and sense of humor. He was a very respected manager at the Postal Service. My sympathies go out to Carroll's family.
