Read MoreI just learned of Carter´s passing. We loss contact after his 1972 Congressional race. He was a wonderful man. A respected businessman and a dedicated champion of environmental causes. I will always remember him as a good man devoted to making the world a better place.

I knew Carter in the 1970's in Manhattan. Hadn't had contact in many years. Sorry to learn of his passing. Glad to hear of the legacy her leaves. Condolences to his loved ones.
