Cary Reynolds, Sr., age 67 was born on April 8, 1953 in New Orleans, LA departed this earthly home on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. Cary was a member of the Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research (IDMR). He attended Thomy Lafon Elementary School, Samuel J. Green Junior High School and was a graduate of Walter L. Cohen High School c/o 1971. He was the devoted husband of Nurcelle Alexander Reynolds. Son of the late Maggie S. Reynolds and Elijah Reynolds. Loving father of Cary Reynolds, Jr. (Samantha) and Elijah Reynolds (Tia). Stepfather of Jade Dowl (Earl'vin) and Jasmine Alexander. Brother of Terry "Peanut" Reynolds and Tyrone "Tidy" Reynolds. Uncle of Debbie Reynolds-Carter, Corey Washington, Teriece and Gary T. Reynolds, Sr. Brother-in-law of Cheryl Every. Also survived by 5 grandchildren, Nadia Ellis, Carian Lallande, Zion, Shawnesha and Elijah Reynolds, Jr., 5 great-grandchildren and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by 1 son Shawn Reynolds; 1 brother Gary Reynolds and 1 nephew Tommie Reynolds. Due to city regulations, only a limited number of relatives, friends, members and staff of the Institute of Divine Metaphysical, Walter L. Cohen c/o 1971, City of Love Church, Payne Memorial AME Church, Manning Architects and Banner Chevrolet are invited to attend the Funeral Services on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home, 2120 Jackson Avenue at 10:00 a.m. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 am.
