Not sure what to say?

A good man and a great leader, teacher, and model for any soldier to emulate.

He once said he was "the son of a Kentucky farmer serving five pay grades above where he deserved to be." Of course we didn't agree with him. One of my fondest memories is him coming to the farm to deer hunt. He wasn't having much luck so I suggested we move his stand to a big scrape and set up there. I told him he needed to have the discipline to sit up there all day because that buck was moving in the middle of the day. I was working on a water gap down in the field when he came and found...

It is hard to imagine seven years have past since this sad day. I had the honor of knowing LTG Marsh when he commanded the 2-2 Inf, 1st Bde and as CofS, 1st Corp. In fact, when I was allowed to serve beyond 30 years, he reenlisted me in from of Corps Headquarters. If my file, I have a photo of that event. He was a total soldier who put the men and mission above all else. It was a pleasure to have known and served with Glenn during my career. CSM Stanley Harris, US Army (Ret)

I was lucky enough to serve under LTG Marsh when he commanded the 1st Brigade, 9ID. He set a superb example, and he modeled leadership in every way. He was thoughtful, calm, listened to others, gave clear orders and always put the welfare of others, especially soldiers, ahead of his own needs. He was “Recondo 6” and he forged a truly competent, capable unit able to complete any assigned mission.

I worked for General Marsh at the 101st in 1986 (in the HQ Admin Office). Despite only being a PFC, he treated me with the same respect as he did his senior officers. I admired Gen Marsh and appreciate having been exposed to such a dynamic leader so early on in my career. God Bless.

Gen Marsh was a good person and outstanding Army Officer. He is missed. I am an old friend and comrade in arms. If any member of the family reads this, I would like to contact Mrs Clair Marsh. Please call Col(ret) Lee C. Smith or Sissy at 334-389-3071. Thank You

Glenn Marsh was my OIC while was in the Command group at Fort Lewis as a Major(P) and a LTC. He was a good teacher and a friend. - SSG Ervin

Sir. I will always be grateful for the impact, that you, and your family, had on my life. The many fond memories... that I recall often. Thank you.

General Marsh was a great man and soldier. What an incredible loss to all who knew him. He'll be remembered by so many as a role model and made us want to be better people.
