Mickey,
I had written you a short note, but it was returned to me. I just found this site..
I worked with Caryl years ago at Hospital For Special Surgery. During that time, I got engaged, found a house to buy, lost the house, and was saved by Caryl. She offered my fiance and I an apartment in one of the buildings 1 month before the wedding. The thought of us starting our life together in my nightmare 5th floor walk up was too much for her.
I had sent Caryl little messages during...

As Caryl's pilates instuctor and friend I was a confidant and learned much about her life in such a short time. Her spitfire energy and humor was contagious. Her passing is a complete shock. Caryl's stories of family, children, grandchildren and husband brought her so much joy, my heart goes out to each of you. What a tremendous loss.
In sympathy,
Kristen Rae

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Caryl. I met her as a soon to be fun loving sixteen year old in Miami Beach in 1955. All that met her that summer feel in love with her. She went through alot with me as a dear dear friend. Reading about Caryl as a women, wife and mother made me think she turned out to be the exact kind of women I thought she would be. We only ran into each other once in all these years when I and a mutual friend ran into her in a NYC restaurant during one of my...

As her son-in-law for 15 years, I am terribly sad about Carly's passing, which came as a complete shock to me and to so many others. There are far too many good things to say about Caryl than can possibly fit here or be stated in writing. Mickey, my dear Dorothy, Andrea, Dean, my children and Andrea's and Dean's and Roxanne's children--I share your grief and grieve for the pain that you all must be feeling. You will always all be family to me and I will always be grateful for the time...

Although Caryl and family had not been in touch for many years, since her Aunt Edith's ( my mother ) death, Caryl's passing is a blow and I send my condolences to all the family.

Dear Mr. Palin, Dean & family...
I'm so saddened to hear of Caryl's passing. Having been lucky enough to have spend significant time with Caryl, I experienced firsthand her joy for life, her love of family, her quick wit and her generous heart.
There was absolutely no one like her! May she rest in peace and know that she will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her.
