Peppler Funeral Home - Allentown Obituary

Casey J. Meirs, 39, of Cream Ridge, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024. Born in Princeton, she was a lifetime resident of Cream Ridge. Casey was a graduate of West Windsor Plainsboro High School.  She worked for Direct Fulfillment for several years before working for the ARC of Mercer County as a receptionist and later for their music therapy day program. Currently, Casey was working for Sodexo Food Service.  


Casey loved being active and was very athletic. She competed in the Special Olympics and was an excellent swimmer.  She also enjoyed bowling, bocce ball, playing soccer, and playing the piano. She especially loved her horses and time spent with her family and friends. 


Casey is survived by her parents, Sherri K. and Richard S. Meirs, VMD; her brother, Cory K. Meirs, DVM and his wife, Molly; her sister, Hailey Cousart and her husband, Remy; her nieces and nephews, Edwin A. Meirs, Esther E. Meirs, Eloise B. Cousart, and Collins M. Cousart; grandparents, Mary Lou Timberman, and Ronald C. Kraft and his wife Kathy.  Casey is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.


A visitation with family will begin at 12noon on Saturday, May 4th in the Crosswicks Friends Meeting House, 15 Front St., Crosswicks. NJ.  A Friends Memorial Meeting for Worship will begin at 3pm in the Meeting House. 


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Casey’s name to the Special Olympics New Jersey, 1 Eunice Kennedy Shriver Way, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648 (www.sonj.org) or to the Standardbred Retirement Foundation, 42 Arneytown-Hornerstown Rd, Cream Ridge, NJ 08514 (www.adoptahorse.org)

I met Casey in April 2011 at the Arc Mercer in Trenton. She was very friendly and interested in other people.
