Not sure what to say?

Dear Silk Family,

I just wanted you to know that you are still in my thoughts everyday. "A Father's Remembrance" written by Larry hangs in my cube here at work. I often look out onto the 4th hole at Greate Bay and think, how time fly's, as I remember Larry driving around the neighborhood in his green Ford, following Casey around the course. God bless.

I can remember being a freshman at MRHS and watching Casey on AM Mainland and thinking, what a cool kid. Someone to look up to. Through mutual friends we knew each other but never became close friends. My fondest memory had to be his chase to be undefeated his senior year. I drug my dad to so many wrestling matches just to cheer on this guy I barely knew. But his fight and size reminded me something of myself. You couldn't help but cheer him on. A wonderful character... he will be missed.

Aloha Big C,
My brother from another mother, man Im gonna miss you. You thought me that small guys like us can hit the ball long and play with the best of them. Even though I only knew you for a few months it felt like we were friends for a life time. Big C you will be missed thanks a bunch for everything. The next time I see you were gonna play a little skins game cause I wanna play with the best golfer I know. Peace n 1love.
Your Hawaiian Brother,
Collins Tamashiro

Hey Case,

I wanted to keep the guest book alive so that from time to time people can share their thoughts and memories of you.

Love, Mother

Oh Casey!

It's been 3 and a half weeks now and it still feels like I'm having this bad dream.

You should be home on break now from the golf academy to enjoy the holidays with your friends and family. Yet you are not here.

Will someone please, please wake me from this horrible nightmare?!?!?!

Mr. and Mrs. Silk-
No matter how I try to word it, I end up coming short of actually expressing my sorrow for the loss of such a great person. My fondest memories come from playing street hockey together, where Casey was always a dedicated competitor, but after the game, he was a dedicated friend. I think you can tell alot about a person by their relationship with their parents, and the relationship between Casey and Larry is one that is very rare. I never pictured Casey and Larry...

Case-I'll never forget the countless memories we've had. From 7th grade on Maribeth's trampoline EVERY single day to witnessing your first kiss at T.W. Sports when they wouldnt let you on the go carts cause you were too short haha. Then the 8th grade dance-taking pictures at Syds and then after party-haha-always keeping us laughing-us pointers always stuck together-i remember you nicknaming making out "tieing your shoes" haha gota love spin the bottle at ny ave..lol...we remained close...

The real Timmy, Lodee-ized salt, fart-chuck house, takes a lickin' & keeps on tickin', my name is Casey Silk and my family's not home..., creative learning, picked up by the wind at Meyran backyard, exclamation point after each sentence, a great smile and a terrific kid. Happy and loving memories from your childhood. Happy Birthday Casey.
Love, Aunt Roni
