  Casey P. Weldon Obituary


Casey P. Weldon age 62 of Ocean Twp. passed away on Wed. June 16, 2021 at Riverview Medical Center after a year long battle with cancer. Casey was born in Long Branch and was a lifelong resident of Ocean Twp. He was the owner/operator of several restaurants in the area, most notably Casey's Bite Shop in Oakhurst . He was a graduate of Ocean Twp. H S and was a passionate referee and coach in many local youth sporting leagues. Casey was a well known personality throughout Ocean Twp. He had a terrific sense of humor and he loved golf, the racetrack, cooking, and reality TV.


He was predeceased by his parents; John and Mary (Bonar) Weldon, by his brother Terry Weldon and his wife Nancy, his father-in-law James Albano, and sister-in-law Gina Covert.


Surviving are his dear wife Lissa Albano Weldon and his two cherished children: Stephanie Weldon and Danny Weldon. 3 brothers; John Weldon and his wife Donna of Ocean Grove, Jimmy (Doots) Weldon and his wife Kim of Rome, NY and Kevin Weldon of Ocean Twp. 1 sister Anne (DeDe) DeSarno and her husband Billy DeSarno of Tinton Falls. His Mother-in law Dianne Albano, brothers-in law Jim Albano and his wife Carolyn of Aberdeen, Joseph Albano and his wife Beth of Wilmington, DE.,  Doug Covert and many loving nieces and nephews.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Friday June 18th from 1-4pm in Buckley Funeral Home 509 Second Ave. Asbury Park NJ 07712 In lieu of flowers please donate to: Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Casey's name

Dear Weldon Family:
My heart hurts for all of you. I just heard the news about Casey and I’m at a loss for words. He often was the bball ref for my daughters’ games in WLB and Shore. He was so good to them! Inspired them to do their best! He made them feel safe on the court! Casey was always teaching them with a smile. He made us all smile. I wish I could have seen him ref againI’m so sorry for you loss.Casey was very special.
