Mr. Edwards was a director of our company, Texas-New Mexico Power Company, from 1975 - 1996 and I worked directly with him. I have never known a truer "gentle man" or "gentleman" than him. He cared about people as individuals and always inquired about their family. Did not know that Pete Geren was his nephew - he also served on our board of directors. I know that Cass' family will miss him very much. We will also...Jan Adkins

To have had the pleasure to work with this gentleman was indeed an experience to treasure. I had this honor for the past some 30 years. As everyone before me has said, if you had the honor of meeting or working with him, you were indeed blessed, and I and my company will treasure that experience, his son Crawford is truly a mirror of his dad, and also a pleasure to know.

I worked at Overton Bank for several years, and had the honor of seeing Mr. Edwards walk through the bank lobby, always with a smile and kind word for all he passed. He remembered your name, your family's names, and never failed to ask after them. He was humble, kindhearted gentleman who will be greatly missed.

As a teenage kid growing up near what is now Cityview and Bryant Irvin Rd south of old 820 we used to camp and hike on Mr. Edwards ranch land. He was a great man to Fort Worth and will be missed. My condolences and prayers go out to his loved ones.

Cass always took Donna, Genny, and me to lunch. He was so good to us all. When my husband, John, became ill, he not only came to the hospital to see him, but attended his funeral. I will always remember his kindness.

Our prayers go out to the family and close relatives. I know that those closest to you will be there to support you (if needed). I know that my parents are there if you need them, and if I was living there I would certainly be there too. But I am only a phone call away if you need me too.

Serving with Cass on the board of Union Gospel Mission has been one of the signal highlights in my life. Without intrusion, Cass shared his love and faith with many people. His gift of a pen with his "ad" on it, "This pen did belong to Cass Edwards, now it belongs to a friend" was a demonstration of his love and care.

Our Deepest Symapathies to the loss of a great man. Since the 50s when we helped develop a rough and rugged country called Edwards Ranch. I always found Mr Edwards to be a fair and just and honorable man. He will be missed by many.
